Niki, (Nicola Nada Fowler), welcomes you to WildFowler Photography, but is usually the other side of her lenses! She had her first camera bought for her when aged 11, by her Uncle, Bruce Beckett, who was a photographer.
Niki has been an Insurance Broker & Training Consultant with language skills, having spent time in Belgium, France & Italy. After a car crash in 2007 she decided to do what she loves, so after returning to Uni, she became a Member of the National Photographic Society & the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers, so has been in this business for over 11 years.
She will capture your significant moments with passion & display them with sensitivity. Your memories are precious, so she creates a tailor-made service, helping to make your day special, whatever the event, offering you excellent rates & a friendly, professional service.
The name WildFowler is taken from Niki's late father, Leslie H Fowler: a true gentleman, racing driver and a force of nature!
Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and a huge investment, so it makes sense to find a photographer within your budget who really knows how to make you & your guests feel relaxed. The only way to do this is to meet up with some photographers & see who you have a good connection with. Then you can be assured of having a lovely day with photographic memories that really reflect the joy & love of your special day; not over-posed, stiff images.
At the meeting, ask to see at least three whole weddings they have photographed, not just a few images of couples; those few images may be models.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions; a professional will welcome them! How many cameras will they bring? What lenses? Plenty of back up memory & batteries? Are they fully insured? Do they shoot RAW, (undeveloped) images, & edit each image? Do they restrict the number of images they give you? How long do they keep you’re your images for? Do they offer you flexible payment terms if you want?
We have at least one meeting with you, (& your children if you have them), to get to know you all, (which really makes a difference to children & adults too!) We make lots of notes, making sure that we get all the information we need to have everything in place; this is your day & we really do want you to be happy.
At this meeting we will show you examples of our work & ask you which type of editing you particularly like; some love only black & white, others want a mixture. Perhaps you love soft edges or black & white with colours of flowers picked out. The decision is totally yours, it’s not a photographer’s choice to make!
We work in RAW, taking shots that are undeveloped images. We then edit every image taken & you will have the whole day captured & edited as agreed.
Some couples like us to shoot whatever images our experience has taught us; others have lists of their preferred shots, or names of key people involved in their special day. This is up to you, but names of your VIPs are useful. Where there are many children, we do the large group shots of everyone before they get fidgety.
We don’t believe that the photographer should choose which images to give to their clients; we are not afraid of giving you every image, believing that it is not up to a photographer to delete an image; is it showing a loved one in the shot? Your images & your wedding really do matter to us.
We keep each assignment for 3 years, ensuring you can choose to purchase extras such as albums, archive prints or wall art as time & budget may allow. With us you don’t have to pay for your album, canvas etc. all at once!
We accept flexible payment terms too; money doesn’t always grow on trees.
